The company has been involved in the supply and installation of aluminium overhead sign gantries for fifteen years. The combination of pre-cast concrete and aluminium has proved particularly attractive to the growing "design, build, finance and operate" (D.B.F.O.) sector, where whole life costing is a major consideration. Once erected the gantry provides access to signs and signals for inspection but the gantry itself remains entirely maintenance free. Varley & Gulliver have been awarded many contracts to supply and install gantries including A1/M1 Yorkshire Link and BNRR (Birmingham Northern Relief Road).

Varley and Gullivers New lightweight Gantry was launched at this years Trafex exhibition in Birmingham.
Following almost 18 months of development the company now aims to be the market leader with its new modular design.
