Aluminium N2 W2

On 22nd September 2004 Varley and Gulliver successfully tested an Aluminium N2-W2 vehicular parapet in accordance with EN 1317-1:1998 and EN 1317-2:1998.

The parapet was tested on a 450mm Plinth and achieved a dynamic deflection of 0.6m and a working width of 0.8m.

The vehicle wheels did not leave the plinth at any time of the vehicle impact

The VGAN 1000 series aluminium parapet is a modular system. The system consists of 3,4 or 5 horizontal extruded aluminium rail sections located to supporting posts at heights specified on system drawings.

It weathers to a dull grey finish, and is highly resistant to corrosion, like all our aluminium systems once erected it requires no maintenance therefore providing lower whole life costs as it has an almost unlimited life expectancy.
