On 3rd March 2008 Varley and Gulliver successfully tested a Steel N2-W2 Low Loading vehicular parapet in accordance with EN 1317-1:1998 and EN 1317-2:1998.

The parapet was tested on a 450mm Plinth and achieved a dynamic deflection of 0.4m and a working width of 0.6m.

The vehicle wheels did not leave the plinth at any time of the vehicle impact

 

The VGSN 900 series steel parapet is a modular system. The system consists of 3,4 or 5 horizontal rail sections located to supporting posts at heights specified on systems drawings.

Galvanised finish to BS EN ISO 1461 provides corrosion resistance, however an additional protective/aesthetic painted finish can be applied if required.

Manufactured in compliance to ISO 9001:2000.

Compliance with Sector Scheme for quality management in highway works scheme No 5a.

Constructed from steel to
BS EN 10025, BS EN 10210 and
BS EN 10219.

Galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461.
